Updated: Jan 12, 2023

Why at-Home Workouts are a Good Option

Getting to the gym can be challenging in a lot of ways. Some men work 60-80 hours a week and a gym membership is often just a waste of money. Other guys might just be uncomfortable working out around other people, don't like the gym atmosphere, or just prefer to workout in peace. For any of those situations there is a wide variety of equipment that you can have at your home. The convenience of having workout equipment at your house paired with the indictment of not using it is often enough to get men actively working out. Per usual the purpose of this article is to give you fellas some options to prioritize your mental health. Taking care of your physical health is important when it comes to feeling your best mentally as well. If getting to the gym is challenging for you, these options might help you to get your exercise in and prioritize your physical and mental health.

Resistance bands are a versatile and portable piece of equipment that can be used for a variety of strength-training exercises. They come in different levels of resistance and can be used to target specific muscle groups. Resistance bands are also relatively inexpensive, making them a great at-home exercise equipment option for men with a budget.

Bowflex Select Tech 552 Dumbbells

These dumbbells come with a range of 5-52.5 lbs. per dumbbell. Combining these with an adjustable bench could take up very little space in a workout area and provide endless possibilities for lifting. Out of almost 20,000 users these dumbbells carry a 5-start rating on amazon which is pretty impressive!

A treadmill is a great at-home exercise equipment option for men who enjoy running or walking. Treadmills allow you to get a cardiovascular workout from the comfort of your own home, and many models come with features such as incline and pre-programmed workouts to help you get the most out of your workouts. You can spend a boatload on these things if you aren't careful, but I've attached a moderately priced option with a ton of good features if you're looking to get an indoor run in.

A stationary bike is another excellent at-home exercise equipment option for men who enjoy cycling. Stationary bikes allow you to get a cardiovascular workout without having to brave the elements or deal with the hassle of driving to the gym. There are a lot of cheaper options available but if you're wanting to really engage with an active community and take advantage of competing from the comfort of your own home the Peloton bike is in a league of its own.

Prioritize your health guys, there are plenty of great at-home exercise equipment options for men. Making your physical health a priority will help with energy levels, give you endorphin boosts, build confidence, and give you an opportunity to compete with yourself.
